Alert: Missing Myrtle Beach Couple
I’m breaking from this blog’s usual topics to bring to readers’ attention this story, about a local Myrtle Beach couple, who disappeared en route to New York, where they were traveling to help celebrate Christmas and their daughter’s birthday.
This article from the Sun News gives more information. The Guays were last heard from this past Wednesday night; they left early the next morning to make the familiar trip, as they did yearly since relocating to Myrtle Beach from New York five years ago. The SC State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is involved in the search. Please contact the Horry County PD if you have any information about this couple’s whereabouts - 843.915.5350. Good luck to all those involved in the search and to their daughter, Megan Guay. Here’s hoping for a happy ending to this story.
UPDATE: Tragically, we have an end, and it’s not a happy one. My condolences to the family and friends of the Guays dealing with this horrible news.
