• Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation:The FDIC sponsors several consumer protection related projects; read about them here.
• Federal Trade Commission’s Identity Theft page: A very helpful resource to help you “deter, detect, [and] defend” against ID theft.
• National Consumers League “Be a Badger”: tips to help consumers lodge effective complaints against the companies with which they do business.
• US Postal Inspection Service Consumer Publications: Get specific publications offered by the USPIS on subjects related to mail-based consumer fraud (sweepstakes, sexually-explicit advertisements, etc.).
