I took a bit of a hiatus this summer from this blawg, and it lasted until Thanksgiving! The reasons had to do with other practice development and management issues, which aren’t important right now. But now, the blawg is back, and I am absolutely thrilled to report that it will be even better than ever.
Why? Simple: I’ve added another writer! And not just any writer. Spartanburg bankruptcy specialist Dana Wilkinson is my mentor in bankruptcy law. I first met Dana during law school when she was an attorney and I was a summer clerk at the office of Robert Anderson in Columbia, South Carolina. (Robert is a Chapter 7 Trustee for Columbia’s area.)
Now, she is a solo practitioner, like me, albeit in the western part of the state. Between the two of us, we cover two-thirds of the Palmetto State, and can probably find a referral in the remaining central portion as well, as the debtor bankruptcy bar is a fairly tight-knit group.
I’m going to let Dana introduce herself and her practice later, after she gets her bearings around here, although that shouldn’t take long since she’s definitely not new to blogging.
Another development still in the works: a new look for the SC Bankruptcy & Consumer Blog! I love Lisa Sabin-Wilson’s design (E Webscapes, her company, can be found here, and Lisa’s literally “written the book” on WordPress - it came out this week!) but it’s definitely centered around my office. Now that Dana’s coming on board, we want it to reflect both of our practices equally, so we’ll be hunting around for a new theme or a tweak to this one.
I look forward to writing with Dana and helping to educate consumers about their rights in regards to bankruptcy and consumer law!
